A dad was sat next to Nick Jonas on a Delta Airlines flight, and had absolutely no clue who he was.
When University of South Florida student Deanna Hall received a text from her dad asking ‘who is Nick Jonas?’ she probably assumed her dad was just trying to brush up on what the kids are listening to nowadays – not asking after the celebrity he was sat next to.
Deanna, clearly a huge fan, replied:
A famous singer. I love him. He was part of the Jonas Brothers.
No way could she have anticipated his response:
He is setting [sic] beside me on the plane.
Cue a massive freak out from Deanna, and her excitement could only be conveyed in full capital letters:
SEND PIC. TAKE A PIC WITH HIM. TELL HIM I LOVE HIM. GET AN AUTOGRAPH
Deanna’s dad managed to get not one, but two pics so we can forgive him about forgetting to nab an autograph (come on dad!).
Deanna shared her dad’s celebrity encounter through a tweet, captioned:

The response to the tweet has been phenomenal, with many people being completely charmed by this sweet, innocent dad.

Amazingly, this tweet also spawned a new internet hero; the unimpressed woman sat just behind the pair who is clearly not a big Jonas Brothers aficionado.
Jealous but I cant stop staring at the woman in the back who looks so done pic.twitter.com/eR03eA88hn
