With another week starting there is of course a brand new conspiracy theory suggesting the end of the world is only around the corner.

There has long been a theory that a massive planet called Planet X or Nibiru will crash into Earth bringing an end to humanity but so-called ‘truthers’ are arguing that the first signs of this impending armageddon can already be seen.

In his book Planet X – The 2017 Arrival, paranormal researcher David Meade used a combination of astronomy, scientific and biblical research to claim that the collision will happen in October this year.

Building on this theory, conspiracists claim evidence of the 10 biblical plagues God supposedly sent down to Earth to show the Egyptians he was the only true God can be seen again today.

They claim that these plagues are sure signs that the end of the world is coming.

The plagues are blood, frogs, bugs, wild animals, pestilence, boils, hail, locusts, darkness and the death of first-borns.

The conspiracy theorists are pointing to horrifying footage of dense clouds of locusts devouring land in Russia and the fact that next month will see a total solar eclipse as evidence that armageddon is coming.

I have already bought my Halloween outfit so here’s hoping that the world doesn’t end and my £20 hasn’t been wasted.
