One man has gone viral thanks to his ‘genius’ Tinder profile.
Jesse Mills, banter-addict and visionary, works as a web site designer according to his profile which may have come in handy when sorting out his online persona.
It may not come as a surprise to you if you’re a heterosexual woman when I tell you men are terrible at presenting themselves as anything other than people to avoid at all costs when it comes to the dating app.
I saw it for myself when I swiped through Tinder using a female filter. For girls it’s relatively easy: put ‘swipe left if you’re under 6ft’ and you’ll get matches; put ‘guys are terrible lol’ and you’ll get matches. Jesus, write anything and you’ll still probably get in surplus of 2,000 SuperLikes.
With guys, bios are everything. Being generally unattractive we have no option but to rely on a sense of humour. The problem is it’s impossible to convey a good one over Tinder without looking like a f***ing geek.
My own profile has me on an office go-kart with the caption ‘swipe left if ur only gonna use me for my whip.’ It’s still nowhere near perfection but it’s an admission of ‘Yeah, I’m a wasteman but at least I’m self-aware you know what I mean?’ I do okay.
Generally speaking though, do not attempt humour. It will not work. Just be honest and deal with the heat. Or if you’re like this guy, utilise the use of picture-choices and offer a can’t-miss-it bio on the side.

His bio reads:
MILLS, Jesse
1993 – 2017Jesse Mills was a programmer who’s ambitions to create a platform for local video work were tragically halted, when he wished for a genie to help him with his tinder photo.
He loved to swing dance, game, write, and work on weird projects. He was kind and trusting. But you should never trust a genie.
What do genies get out of being such dicks? I don’t know, but they can all get fucked. Oh, and his family loved him.
Please send your condolences to his Tinder inbox.
Amazing? It’s definitely something else.
