People may say they’re not bothered about being unfollowed on social media, but they are and now you can find out who’s done the dirty on you…

It’s one of those terrible consequences of living in the 21st century, but having many social media profiles is a part of our everyday lives and losing digital friends is just a part of the collateral damage.

It may seem like a first world problem, but losing friends on one of your many networking platforms is a very real issue and if you pretend you’re not arsed about it, then you’re probably lying…

There are now a number of ways in which you can find out who has digitally deleted you from their lives, according to the Daily Dot.

You might think this is ridiculous, although there will always be a part of you that kind of wants to know…

Who Unfollowed Me, is apparently the fastest way of finding out who’s done the terrible deed of ‘unfollowing’ you on Twitter.

All you have to do to gain those all important nuggets of knowledge is connect the app to your Twitter and it will let you know who’s missing from your followers list…

Unfollowgram is a similar concept as Who Unfollowed Me and can be used to track who’s gone and unfollowed you on photo-sharing site Instagram.

Again, all you have to do is log in from the app and let it do the dirty work for you, that’s if you really want to know…

Now Facebook is a dangerous one, as unlike sites such as Twitter and Instagram, more of your actual friends follow you on there and people you really know.

It can be hard for even the toughest, most no-nonsense of people to find out they’ve lost a so-called ‘friend’ on Facebook, as even though you might deny it, it could potentially be damaging for your self-esteem.

It can be tricky being snubbed by a friend in real life and Facebook is just the same, if not worse, as you may never really satisfy that burning question of ‘why?’

If you are still intent on finding out who’s dropped you from their friend’s list though, Deleted is the app that will do the stalking for you and includes a Chrome extension to notify when you’re a friend down…

But approach with caution though, it may not always be for the faint hearted… Although I’m pretty sure we can continue our lives without knowing who’s dropped out on our online lives though.

But just in case… It’s good to know the option’s there…
