‘Image Of God’ Appears In Dark Clouds During Storm

If you’re driving towards a storm that looks like something out of Mad Max: Fury Road, then seeing this isn’t going to fill you with hope.

A video has been posted online of just that, but with the added twist of a couple of God’s hands emerging out of the storm.

You know, no biggie, just our Lord and Saviour coming down for a quick chat in the middle of apocalyptic weather, nothing to worry about, keep driving.

The optical illusion was posted on Reddit just last night, and it has confused a bunch of people on the internet.

The car is travelling along a long stretch of road in Queensland, and it’s only when the camera pans across the clouds that ‘God’s’ hands appear.

You can see in the video two hands holding what looks like a camera emerge out of the darkness, and it looks scary as hell.

Obviously, as is the case with everything in the world, there is a logical explanation, and in this case it’s just a reflection of the hands of the person filming.

If you didn’t work it out for a while, then don’t worry, it took me until that last line to work out just what the hell it was!

One commenter on Reddit posted this Rick and Morty reference:

While this is nothing more than an illusion – albeit a confusing one, this strange shape in the sky is actually more real than the US Navy would care to admit.

Times may be tense across the pond but that hasn’t stopped one pilot from going and doing his own thing in the most hilarious way.

Look at these images and try not to smile.

The pilot’s superiors at the Whidbey Island naval station have reportedly come out against the move.

They said:

We find this absolutely unacceptable, of zero training value and we are holding the crew accountable.

Navy spokesperon Lt. Cmdr. Lesie Hubbell added:

US Navy air crew, flying an F/A-18 Growler (Electronic Attack Aircraft) assigned to Electronic Attack Squadron 130 based at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island, Wash., flew an air pattern over Okanogan County, Washington, on Thursday, November 16, that left a condensed air trail resembling an obscene image to observers on the ground.

Navy ‘Air Boss’ Vice Adm. Mike Shoemaker issued a statement lamenting the crew’s behaviour and asserted the service’s commitment to ‘foster an environment of dignity and respect.’

He said:

Sophomoric and immature antics of a sexual nature have no place in Naval aviation today.

This event clearly stands in stark contrast to the way our aviators and Sailors are performing with utmost professionalism, discipline and excellence from our carrier flight decks and expeditionary airfields around the world today.

Authorities aside, most people found it amusing, and it’s demonstration of a great skill which is surely high on the priorities of the US Navy.

Give this man a promotion.
