A bridge outside Da Nang in Vietnam is leaving visitors speechless with its grand, Lord of the Rings-esque design.
The bridge, seemingly held in place by two giant stone hands, has become somewhat of a modern must-see for people across the world.
Known as the Golden Bridge, it stands 1,400km above sea level over the Ba Na hills.
While the stone hands may look worn, the bridge is actually new having opened in June.
Offering stunning views of the surrounding countryside, the gold-coloured walkway is lined with purple Lobelia Chrysanthemums.
Altogether, it spans almost 150 metres, BoredPanda writes.
The structure is part of a $2 billion investment which in turn is helping turn Vietnam into an unmissable bastion for tourists.
It hopes to bring more than the 1.5 million visitors the area already hosts annually.
Stick Aragorn on that thing and he wouldn’t look out place. Hell, with the rumour mill claiming the new LOTR TV series will focus on a young Aragorn, the worst they could do is try and bag a filming permit in advance.
While Gandalf is perhaps the most iconic character from Tolkien’s tales, it was Aragorn, played by Viggo Mortensen, who captured hearts and stole innumerable scenes as the heroic heir apparent to the Kingdom of Gondor.
It should come as no surprise then, Amazon’s new venture will allegedly focus on Aragorn, but not as we know him from the original LOTR trilogy.
As The One Ring said, multiple sources have confirmed the new programme will begin by telling the story of Aragorn’s youth.
They added:
From the first press release, we know this so-called #LOTR series will NOT be a retelling of the events of the War of the Ring. #BeenThereDoneThat [sic]
Instead, it will be Appendices based and cover a lot of time and history.
This is the greatest advantage the show runners have; that so much of Tolkien’s storytelling, even just in ‘Appendix A’, covers a tremendous swath of time.
Starting with a young Aragorn, narrative allows connections to his Numenorean bloodline (and to the founding of #Gondor).
The fabric of Aragorn’s story is just so rich.
Lord of the Rings/New Line CinemaWhile the whole thing probably won’t just focus on young Aragorn, it’s a compelling place to begin the new series and delve deeper in to Tolkien’s world.
However they choose to play it, it’s fair to say Amazon are going all out for the new series.
It was recently reported the new LOTR is going to be the most expensive TV show ever made.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Amazon beat Netflix to a $250 million rights deal with the Tolkien estate, publisher HarperCollins and New Line Cinema to bring LOTR to the small screen.

Peter Jackson’s movies ended up bagging over $1 billion profit at the box office alone, and with two series already commissioned, let’s hope young Aragorn has the same power as he does in the years which follow.
