This is the incredible moment a baby boy saw his dad for the first time after being given a pair of glasses.
Brandon Caldwell hadn’t seen his nine-month-old son Reagan since he was deployed to Antarctica two months ago. In that time, Brandon got a brand new pair of specs that have corrected his vision allowing him to see properly just in time for their adorable reunion.
Amanda, the boy’s mother, recorded the father and son reunion at their home in upstate New York last week and if it doesn’t melt your heart then I’m worried you may be a sociopath.
In the sweet video Brandon cuddles his son, who’s clearly delighted to have his dear old dad back, resting his head against his chest and giving him a big old hug.
Clearly overwhelmed by the moment the Air Force Captain even starts to cry.
Amanda, who posted the video to Facebook captioned it:
This was the first time he got to see his daddy through glasses after a two month deployment.
It’s obvious in this video he loves his daddy. I have watched this over and over again. My heart is literally melting.
Reagan has been in and out of hospital since he was born after contracting a Group B Strep infection eventually ending up in intensive care due to complications which included meningitis and sepsis.
We hope he’s OK now his daddy is home and wish him a full recovery.
