This fascinating series of photographs show where the infamous El Chapo spent the last six months hiding from the Mexican government.

The drug kingpin was recaptured by authorities last week after he went into hiding following his prison break. There was a reported $5 million reward on his head – offered by the Mexican government for any information leading to his capture.

But where exactly did Joaquín Guzmán keep his head down for those six months?

According to UK Business Insider, he was keeping a low-profile on the corner of Río Quelite and Jiquilpan Boulevard in Los Mochis, Mexico.

Now, these photos have allowed us to step inside the high-walled, secret hideout of the world’s most infamous drug baron – even showing the tunnel he used in his attempts to escape the Mexican Marines.
