Oyalaaa/InstagramWith over 100,000 followers on Instagram – and 600,000 YouTube followers – Kayla Jenkins appeared to have a life full of fun and glamour.
However, her landlords claim she and her housemate Casey Petchy owe nearly £10,000 in rent; forcing them to apply for an eviction order to kick Kayla – aka Okaylaaa – out.
The landlords – Paul and Paula Hopwood – were also furious to discover the 24-year-old YouTube star had left the Prestwich property in a mess; with bin bags piling up in the garden and dog poo left in Tupperware boxes.
Pet urine stained the curtains and the stairs had been gnawed. A mirror had been smashed and parts of the carpet had been torn. The Hopwoods now fear the damage could add up to thousands.
Oyalaaa/InstagramAlthough Kayla claims to have kept just one puppy at the property, Paul says she actually had four cats, five dogs, three rabbits, two budgies and two guinea pigs.
The enraged landlords made their claims on Channel 5’s Bad Tenants Rogue Landlords, where cameras revealed make-up stained furniture and animal excrement.
During the programme, the Hopwoods are unable to get into the property and the police are called for. An officer who attended the scene described the property as smelling ‘pungent’, Metro reports.

Paula said:
To just walk in and see that it had been completely wrecked was absolutely soul-destroying.
Ugh the smell, it actually makes me feel like I’m going to be sick.
She added:
It makes my blood boil.
She is in there, she’s making money in our house, using it as a film set for her videos and not paying her rent and there’s nothing we can do
The disgusted couple were able to obtain an eviction order and must now prepare the wrecked property for new tenants.

Kayla was unable to pay her rent as she was suffering with mental health problems and her YouTube paid work dried up.
She uploaded a YouTube video about her depression/mental health problems and her absence from YouTube a few months prior to the landlord pursuing her for rent arrears.
They continued:
In regards to the property damage, Casey and Kayla claim no dog faeces were left in a plastic container by them, as all dog mess was put in bin bags before the house was vacated.
The tenants allege the mattress shown in the show was second-hand and already stained and the lamp and chest of drawers were already faulty when they moved in to the property. They allege the property electrics were also faulty and the landlord failed to provide them with an EPC or Gas Safety Check Record, which is illegal.
The tenants took full responsibility for the mirror breaking. The landlords didn’t secure it to the wall and it fell over when one of the tenants was hoovering, hence why the top corner got smashed. The tenants allege they immediately informed the landlord and apologised, in writing.
The tenants also take responsibility for bags of rubbish shown. They missed the refuse collection three times in a row and the rubbish built up. The girls also created a lot of rubbish when they vacated the property, as they had a massive clear out of their things before leaving, meaning it mounted up. The bags of rubbish prove they tidied up and deposed of any litter/mess. They apologise for missing the refuse collection and leaving the bags in the garden.
