Will they, won’t they and will they again? Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom are for sure the Ross and Rachel of the millennial generation.
And so you could almost hear the screams of rapture from the studio audience when Katy dropped a raunchy comment on Orlando’s Instagram.
The photogenic pair were first linked back in January 2016 at the Netflix Golden Globes after party. In a scene straight out of a rom-com, the two stars reportedly even had a dance off.
In the year that followed, the glittering couple were regularly spotted looking extremely loved up and gooey eyed; attending an Adele concert, Coachella and even jetting off on holiday to Italy for a spot of paddle boarding.
Much to the excitement of fans, the relationship was finally confirmed in May 2016, after Katy shared a very cosy picture of them at the Cannes Film Festival.
By March 2017, the romance appeared to have soured, with Katy and Orlando revealing they were parting ways.
However, the pair appeared to remain close after the split; sparking rumour after rumour. They spent New Year’s Eve 2017 together and were even spied holidaying in the Maldives during January 2018. What was happening?!
Check out Katy Perry being surprised by her parents in the following clip:
Katy has now sparked fresh rumours after commenting coyly on her on-off lover’s Instagram post:
I need a season pass for that ass.
Acting the innocent, the 33-year-old singer then proceeded to comment:
Oops I meant to send that privately.
Oo err!
Fans appeared overjoyed at this apparent confirmation the pair were appreciating each others asses all over again. Aww.
One person enthused:
Hoping y’all can make a go of it this time around. Such a beautiful couple.
Another chortled:
Omg! I had a terrible day and I’m sorry but your comments to Orlando Bloom just made my evening. Thanks for the laugh y’all!
Ps- if she can joke like this with you MARRY HER!
In recent months, Katy has dropped some seriously big hints about no longer being a single lady.
In April 2018, she protested that she wouldn’t date an American Idol contestant due to being ‘spoken for’ when speaking with ET:
No, I’m sorry I have been spoken for and speak for myself, and I’m very happy!
A source told ET:
The time they spend together alone is a way for them to build a new healthy relationship that is not under the eyes of their fans and the world.
They both live very busy lives and have carefully made a plan to give their love a second chance.
The source continued:
Some of their friends think the breakup only improved what they once had and they do truly seem happier in their relationship than ever before.
They know each other’s patterns and the communication between them has improved, so their relationship is thriving.
They are happier than they’ve ever been and feel in time they will be ready to be more public about their love for one another and can plan for a future.
Are we finally witnessing the second coming of Perrybloom?
