All Safyre Terry wanted for Christmas this year was enough cards to entirely fill her card tree, and she certainly got her wish.

The brave little girl lost a hand, foot, and suffered horrific burns to 75 per cent of her body in an alleged arson attack in 2013.

After her Christmas wish went viral Safyre was so inundated with cards that they weren’t all opened in time for Christmas.

But the extra day’s wait was well worth it, as on December 26 the team of volunteers helping Safyre discovered a delivery from none other than Katy Perry.

The 31-year-old had sent Safyre a host of goodies including a hoodie with ears and backpack attached, DVDs of her Prismatic world tour, her film Part Of Me, an iPhone 6 case that lights up, a kitty cat black purse, and a hand-written card.

It read:

Safyre, I heard about your Christmas wish and am so honored that you saved the top of the tree for me!

I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and a great New Year. I’ll be thinking of you on Christmas day. Special girl.”

Perry joins a list of big names, including Beyoncé, Michael Buble, and President Obama, to send the eight-year old a card, but according to TMZ she broke away from the usual self-promoting cult of celebrity and did not highlight her act on social media.

Nice going Katy, hopefully Safyre has had the Christmas she dreamed of.
