Of all the unlikely people to respond to Trump’s new ban on immigrants, Kim Kardashian is the one to have something to say.
Kim wasted no time in responding to the new president’s plans for halting immigration, by sharing a well-timed tweet, the Daily Mail reports.
The reality TV star posted a chart outlining statistics showing just how many Americans are actually killed by Muslim extremist immigrants.
According to the 36-year-old’s chart, only two Americans are killed a year by jihadist extremists, as opposed to the 11,000 killed annually by gun crimes committed by American citizens.
The Kardashian, who is of Armenian descent, clearly felt the need to share her views with the world after the signing of Trump’s latest executive order.
The document outlines how no refugees are allowed to enter the country for at least four months and has outlawed travel visas from seven majority Muslim countries, over the next three months.
Kim isn’t the only one to be outraged by these controversial plans though, as huge protests broke out across America on Friday.
The Federal Court even stepped in with an emergency stay, blocking Trump’s plans to deport migrants held at airports as a result of his latest ban.
It does make things a little awkward for Kim though as her husband, Kanye has not been shy about expressing his support for the president.
Khloe Kardashian has also spoken out in uproar against Trump’s news, joining her sister in sharing an emotional tweet about the developments in the U.S.
She wrote:
All of this in the news today breaks my heart.
Both tweets from the sisters have since gone viral, each receiving thousands of likes, shares and retweets from followers and supporters of their views.
I certainly wouldn’t have predicted that of all the ‘celebrities,’ Kim K would have a say about what’s going on in the world, but perhaps because of her family’s heritage, it’s a cause that’s close to her heart…
Perhaps she’ll even stand for President in the 2020 election… That would certainly be interesting…
Either way, it’s refreshing to see her sharing something that isn’t just a pic with her bum out.
