Kim Kardashian is back in the news cycle because of her Instagram. Shock bloody horror.
However this time, it’s not because she’s taken all her clothes off for no particular reason other than she wants to. It’s not even because she’s been caught Photoshopping.
This time, she seems to have annoyed a rather large proportion of her following who aren’t quite on board with her treatment of Caitlyn Jenner.
As we all know, her father is Caitlyn, who before the world’s most famous gender transition in 2015, was known as Olympian Bruce Jenner.
That wasn’t what has caused a rift between Kim and Caitlyn though. Apparently, a passage in Caitlyn’s tell-all book released recently, Kim Kardashian‘s mother Kris Jenner wasn’t painted in the best of lights and it’s supposedly led to the most famous of the Kardashians no longer speaking to Caitlyn.

The pic, caption ‘TGIF’, has caused controversy because it depicts Caitlyn in her former life as a man, which is considered an insult to transgender people.
One of her 109 million fans said: “This is total shade, right?” While another added: “Petty.”
I don’t pretend to know the ins and outs of the Kardashian family’s personal feuds but this appears to have over-stepped the mark with more than just their own family, which is why it’s brought so much attention.
One person even went as far as to say it was ‘disrespectful’, and another said: “Why the hell would you post this?”
Caitlyn has made no secret of her previous desire to keep her transition secret from her family because she ‘didn’t want them to leak it to the press’ and that there was ‘no reason for them to know about it’.
She’s also had to persistently fight off criticism from various people, like in a recent interview with Piers Morgan, about her transition.
As a parent-of-six and to transition so late in life, it’s been difficult for large portions of society to accept her change using both cosmetic and sexual reassignment surgery.
These followed a course of hormone replacement therapy while she was younger, when she also cross-dressed.
Apparently Caitlyn stopped her medication-taking when her relationship with Kardashian momager Kris Jenner became more serious.
As you can imagine, for someone of Jenner’s profile, her transition often comes under the spotlight.
A Cajun restaurant in Texas has got itself into a spot of bother after controversially labelling their male and female toilets with two pictures of Caitlyn Jenner before and after her transition.
The decision angered many people, who slammed the move as transphobic.
It was first slated on Twitter by Dom DiFurio, who was eating at Dodie’s Place when he came across the designated pictures.
DiFurio told the Daily Dot Allen is not exactly the most liberally progressive of areas in the US state:
Collin County, where Allen, Texas is, as a whole is considered a conservative bastion in North Texas.
I wouldn’t consider it a particularly great place to be LGBTQ.
I saw it as a bit of a physical manifestation of the wink and nod jokes told often to me when I see people from that part of town.
The kind of jokes where you feel like the person telling the joke wants you to laugh to verify their inclinations, but doing so would perpetuate a terrible environment for anyone in the LGBTQ community.
I guess progress is progress – now matter how slowly it happens!
