A man in New Orleans has been arrested after allegedly claiming he was going to ‘blow the bathroom up’.
Understandable, right? You’d think. In any given universe, making a threat like that should never be a good thing. God help up if it becomes the norm.
No, there was something different about this one apparent comment.
The guy wasn’t making a bomb threat, he was allegedly talking about having a poo.
I’m not messing with you here. 30-year-old Arthur Posey was attending a Wille’s Chicken Shack when he reportedly made the comment.
He had hit up the Canal Street branch on the evening of November 13.
Restaurant workers told police Posey made a violent threat against the place — claiming he said, ‘Y’all about to close right now because I’m going to get a bomb and blow this place up’, TMZ report.
Now when you put it like that, it sounds fairly black and white. If he’d said: ‘Ya’ll better close right now because I’m gonna go to the bathroom and blow’ it would’ve still been relatively alarming – not to mention shocking – but overall not someone that makes a punter conclude, ‘OMG. Bomb.’
When police tracked down Posey, he claimed it was a huge misunderstanding — explaining he told employees he was going to ‘blow the bathroom up’ as unload from his… arsehole.
They didn’t buy Posey’s version of events and cuffed him. He’s now facing two counts of communicating false information of planned arson.
He’ll be back in court later this month to defend his frankly hilarious supposed comment.
Personally, I think it’s a load of sh*t.
