Mia Khalifa has released a video to celebrate her gaining 11 million followers on Instagram.
It’s a pretty mean feat for someone who retired from the profession that made her name (beats me) after a matter of months.
Me? I have around 195 followers. Following around 270. Something’s not there is it? Look, I’m sure if I was an adult star – and God knows how many times I’ve been scouted – then I’d probably be in the five figures, maybe six.
Until then I’ll enjoy the celebrations of those dreamers who have reached the dizzying heights of social media excellence and popularity. Namely, Mia Khalifa, who seemingly toasted to her online milestone who dancing for her new fella, a chef called Robert Sandberg.
She wrote:
11 Million followers, holy SHIT!!!!! Thank y’all so much, I love each and every one of you and that was a complete lie because some of y’all are the worst specimens in this universal dimension. But here’s a throwback that perfectly displays my current mood from when I was in Copenhagen with my love @robertsandberg.
Last time Mia made the news it wasn’t so happy-go-lucky. She revealed she was going under the knife after being hit in the chest by a hockey puck, which left part of her chest ‘deflated’.
She was watching a Stanley Cup Playoff game when the six-ounce disk went flying into her, adding it ruptured her left breast implant and, at the time, left her feeling like ‘blood was going everywhere’.
The American-Lebanese presenter and vlogger even decided to keep the puck as a valued and much-loved souvenir, despite the damage it caused.
Mia stated how the puck – used in game four between the Washington Capitals and Tampa Bay Lightning – was probably travelling at around 80mph.
The sports buff was sitting right on the glass, and as any hockey fan will tell you, sitting in this area is prime puck territory – you’ve gotta keep your eyes peeled.
She said:
I was sitting behind the glass during a game, and it came shooting over the glass and it caught me so off guard and I had no idea it was coming.
I grabbed my chest and I didn’t want to let go, because I felt like if I did let go blood was going to be everywhere.
I got to take it home, it was the single greatest souvenir any hockey fan can get: a game-used puck that comes at you and hits you.
They’re really heavy, it’s pure rubber, they go at about 80mph. My left breast is slightly deflated now and I will be getting it fixed next year.
