A teenager, who at the age of six, was dubbed ‘the most beautiful girl in the world’, has shared an incredible ’10 year challenge’ post on social media.
17-year-old Thylane Blondeau first made headlines around the world as a child, when her picture appeared on the cover of Vogue Enfants.
Since then Blondeau has gone on to model for various designers including Dolce & Gabbana, as well as becoming a brand ambassador for L’Oreal Paris, and has even founded her own clothing brand, Heaven May.
Over the past two weeks people have been taking part in the social media ’10 year challenge’, which involves sharing two photos of yourself, one from ten years ago and one.
Deciding to take part, Thylane posted the images on her Instagram account yesterday (January 16).
Posting the picture which made her well-known across the globe, alongside a recent snap, Thylane also thanked her fans for helping her reach 2.9 million followers on the social media platform.
Thylane’s fans quickly showed their admiration for the post, which, at time of writing (January 17), has received over 420,000 likes.
One person said it was the best 10 year challenge post they’d seen, writing in the comments:
Show me anyone who even comes close to her in this 10 year challenge thing.
While another wrote:
You look adorably cute 10 years ago, now you look completely beautiful.
Another fan commented:
A beauty like you only comes once a generation.
In an interview with L’Officiel last year, Thylane said she doesn’t understand why she was hailed ‘the most beautiful girl in the world’:
Firstly: I do not consider myself the most beautiful girl in the world! When I was little, people always told me. But I did not even understand what they meant. Because who says that? Who says I am the most beautiful?
I can not do anything with it. I can not do anything about how I look. This is who I am. Fortunately, I have a number of lovely people around me with whom I am very close. In addition, I am very shy. You probably noticed that already.
I am very normal, though! At least, I experience my life as normal. I live in southern France. And I have my friends here. Just like my peers.
I feel as old as them. But my friends sometimes point out that I lead a different life. But I do not feel that way. I also live at home, nice with my mother. You know, my mother is everything to me. I will never live alone! Never!
Thylane also spoke about Instagram and admitted, although she understands why some find it problematic, she loves it:
I love Instagram! I have many followers and I also think that I should offer them something. I have a private life and a public life, but they are completely mixed up.
But I grew up with it. I do not know better! I’m only seventeen, right? I have no problem with it. I even like it! And it is important for my career.
On Instagram Thylane often shares modelling photos, as well as fun posts like the 10 year challenge collage.
