Nurses at Naval Hospital Jacksonville have caused outrage online after images of them flipping off babies surfaced.
The images also reportedly display one nurse holding a newborn and making her ‘dance to rap music’.
One nurse even posted an image to Snapchat giving a child the middle finger with the caption: ‘How I currently feel about these mini Satans’.
The images were first posted to Snapchat but later shared to Facebook by people who received the concerning pictures.
The pictures have been shared thousands of time online, and hospital authorities have been notified of the concerning behaviour of the nurses.
A statement from the hospitals CO was uploaded to Facebook.
It reads:
We are aware of a video / photo posted online. It’s outrageous, unacceptable, incredibly unprofessional, and cannot be tolerated.
We have identified the staff members involved. They have been removed from patient care and they will be handled by the legal system and military justice.
We’re in the process of notifying the patient’s parents.
The nurses have been slammed on social media, with people calling them ‘disgusting’ and ‘evil’.
Kathryn Seaver, a Registered Nurse, posted to Facebook:
This behaviour is unforgivable. Hope the citizens in this area file numerous complaints to this state’s board of nursing…This is only in place to protect the newborns. However; hope the parents of these babies file suits against the hospital and these filthy individuals.
