Celebrity Big Brother has already garnered considerable controversy and as a result, Ofcom have received in surplus of 1,000 complaints, all thanks to two contestants.
‘Human Ken Doll’, Rodrigo Alves, sent viewers to the phone by using the n-word not once, but TWICE.
The TV watchdog confirmed to Metro, 985 people complained about Alves’ awful language, while a further 16 people complained after President of the House, Kirstie Alley, announced plans to build a wall.
She was, of course, referencing President Donald Trump’s $25 billion plan to build a barrier between the USA and Mexico.
Ofcom said they’d be assessing the complaints against their broadcasting code before a decision was made whether to investigate. Meanwhile, CBB bosses have made it clear, Rodrigo is on very thin ice.
They wrote on Twitter:
Rodrigo has received a formal and final warning and if he uses such language again, he will be removed immediately. Rodrigo has apologised for his comments. #CBB.
Viewers also flooded social media to stick up for Natalie Nunn, who spoke up against Kirstie’s wall.

She fumed:
There’s the biggest controversy in our country right now, and she’s a f*cking Trump supporter. That’s why she hasn’t said anything. I’m just not building the wall.
The president is disgusting. I officially don’t like the Big Brother House president.
Audiences agreed, with one viewer saying:
This is a very offensive big brother, so many racist remarks, politics, and not in the spirit of pure fun.
This is touching on inappropriate. The ‘wall’ has children separated from families, immigration policy is not a joke. [sic]
While another said:
There is nothing comical around border walls, or 45’s destruction of people, families, here in America. [sic]
It’s on the verge of joking about concentration camps and Hitler. There is no farce or parody to be had. Do better.
They were never going to get a cookie-cutter contestant in Alves, I suppose. Starting as he hopes to go on, Alves warned he’ll sup nothing but champagne, Prosecco and cava in the house.
The 34-year-old, who’s said to have spent in surplus of £500,000 on 160 cosmetic procedures, claims he wants people to see ‘the real him’. If that means ‘casual racist’, he’s doing a good job so far.
Hoping Big Brother is fair on him, Alves even asked them to cater to his pricey organic diet.
Taking the idea of reinventing yourself to a whole new level, Alves has spent nearly half of his life transforming himself into the complete opposite of what he looked like before going under the knife.
Convinced he was born into the wrong body, he’s undergone numerous surgeries in his quest to achieve ‘perfection’.
Although Rodrigo sounds at peace and confident within his new body, he does admit there’s still work to do.
Reportedly using ‘the best plastic surgeons’ he could find around the world, Rodrigo has undergone 58 operations since 2000 and plans to have many more.
That’s fine by me. But stop using the n-word you f*cking idiot.
