Suits star Patrick J. Adams posted a heartwarming tweet to his former co-star following the birth of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s baby.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex welcomed the newest little royal into the world early yesterday morning (May 6), and announced the exciting news later in the day.
The baby boy’s name has not yet been revealed, but he weighed 7lbs. 3oz, and both he and mum Meghan were said to be doing well.
Prince Harry gave details about their new arrival, in which he praised his wife and said his new son was ‘to die for’:
The sussexroyal Instagram account also uploaded a video of Harry’s announcement, and was among the first to share the news, when they posted a picture revealing ‘It’s a boy!’
The caption read:
We are pleased to announce that Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex welcomed their firstborn child in the early morning on May 6th, 2019. Their Royal Highnesses’ son weighs 7lbs. 3oz.
The Duchess and baby are both healthy and well, and the couple thank members of the public for their shared excitement and support during this very special time in their lives.
Before she became a member of the royal family, Meghan worked as an actor, appearing in films such as Remember Me and Horrible Bosses as well as the American drama series Suits, in which she played Rachel Zane.
In the show, Rachel got married to Patrick’s character Mike Ross, and though she left the show to marry her real-life prince, Meghan and her former co-star are still on good terms.
Patrick J. Adams took to Twitter to congratulate the new mum, and he even proposed a playdate for the new little royal after becoming a father himself towards the end of last year, when he and Pretty Little Liars star Troian Bellisario welcomed their first child.
He wrote:
Just heard that the world just got heavier by 7 pounds and 3 ounces. Much love to him and his incredible parents.
Learned first hand 7 months ago how transformational becoming a parent is and couldn’t be happier for Meghan and Harry as they begin this adventure. #playdatesoon

Patrick wasn’t the only one to congratulate the former cast member, as both Sarah Rafferty (Donna Paulsen), and the official Suits account also sent their wishes – along with most of the rest of the world.
Hearts are leaping for a beautiful, wondrous and healthy baby boy! Sending much love and wishes for every blessing across the pond today and everyday! ❤️

The #royalbaby is here! Congratulations, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. The baby is 7th in line for the throne, which is crazy, because right now I’m 7th in line for the key-making kiosk at my grocery store. @RoyalFamily
