WWE veteran, The Hurricane, has been slated for ‘sl*t shaming’ ex-adult actress Mia Khalifa, after she took a pop at wrestling.
The 24-year-old former entertainer, felt the brunt of a scorned wrestler on Twitter after publicly denouncing UFC fighter Ronda Rousey’s move to professional wrestling, labelling it ’embarrassing.’
Khalifa, who is PornHub’s No1 most-watched star, is a huge sports fan and frequently makes her voice heard on her favourite teams via social media.
In one podcast, she said:
This is where her career will go to die. I have no respect for the WWE, it’s not a real sport. It’s embarrassing.
Gregory ‘Hurricane’ Helms then came through on his Twitter account, responding tongue in cheek.
He responded by saying:
I’m not gonna get upset that a porn star doesn’t respect Pro Wrestling. She’s entitled to her opinion.
Our bodies take a pounding and well… so does hers.
Savage, funny, brutal. Some also thought the retort was deeply unnecessary and sexist.
One user stuck up for Khalifa, writing:
I know this may be a little difficult to wrap your mind around, but stay with me for just a second.
It is possible to disagree with Mia Khalifa’s opinion WITHOUT sl*t shaming her.
I promise it’s not hard. You do it with dudes sh*tt*ng on wrestling all the time.
Another fumed:
What a f*cking idiot. This is the same type of pr*ck who tried to, instead of correcting her points or arguing with grace, tried to sl*t shame Mia Khalifa.
These tw*ts are reasons male wrestling fans (such as myself) have an image problem.
What do you guys think?
