Piers Morgan body shamed model Emily Ratajkowski after she appeared at the Met Gala showing off her stomach.

I’m pretty sure Piers has never dressed in anything other than a dark suit and lopsided tie since he came out of the womb, but he still decided to weigh in on the outfits spotted at the prestigious event, which took place in New York last night (May 6).

Surely, surely by now the TV presenter must have realised that no one cares what he has to say about – well, about anything really, but especially about topics he’s clearly not very clued up on?

The theme for the 2019 Met Gala was ‘Camp: Notes on Fashion’, and as usual there were a whole host of celebrities posing for photos as they headed for the iconic stairs.

Harry Styles showed up in a chiffon blouse, Kim K rocked a skin-tight, nude dress, and Jared Leto even carried his own decapitated head.

Of course, Piers was quick to criticise as many of the attendees as possible, but while for the most part he commented on their outfits, he decided to slam Emily’s body directly.

The model arrived at the event wearing a shiny silver dress, which crossed around her neck and over her chest but left her stomach exposed.

She also wore a head accessory which created the impression of feathered wings by her ears.

Speaking of her look, the Good Morning Britain host implied she should cover up to hide her belly button, which he described as a ‘weird mass’.

Who else … Emily Ratajkowski, that’s another one that looked preposterous.

I mean look at the state of it. That is a weird belly button. If I was her I wouldn’t show as much as she does. It’s a weird mass.

I know Piers can’t go for more than an hour or so without criticising something, even if it doesn’t affect him in any way, so while I could maybe understand him taking the mick out of some of the outfits, he shouldn’t body shame.

Emily probably had some say on last night’s outfit, but I highly doubt she was able to confer with professionals about how her belly button should be shaped when she had her umbilical cord cut.

Piers commenting on her body is offensive, ignorant and uncalled for. Though, I suppose we should know by now that we shouldn’t expect anything less from the infuriating presenter.
