Now, we don’t want to sound too ‘anti-establishment’, but there’s something really quite satisfying when someone tries to lord their power over another person, and gets absolutely annihilated in the process.
For example, when a teacher inherently implies a student must not be paying attention in class when they get an answer wrong, only to get the answer wrong themselves. Or, when a police officer pulls over a driver and then doesn’t even know the laws of the road they’re supposed to be enforcing.
Okay, that second one might sound a little niche, but that’s exactly what happened to one fella when he was pulled over in the state of Oregon during his journey to Canada, and luckily for him, he caught the whole thing on camera.
The man, from Dubai, uploaded the video to his YouTube under the username ‘Stig’s Persian Cousin’, and it makes for some very amusing viewing.
You can watch the full video here:
In the video, which is recorded on the Lamborghini driver’s dash cam, the driver removes the car’s steering wheel as the police officer approaches the car.
The officer introduces himself as Trooper Rommer before telling the driver:
The reason I’m stopping you is because you don’t have any licenses plates on this car. Is there any reason for that?
Lambo driver responds:
I’m from Dubai. It’s my license plate right there.
‘But you’re not in Dubai,’ the officer tells him, to which the driver says: ‘I’m visiting as a tourist.’
Trooper Rommer snapped back:
Well, no you’re not visiting as a tourist if you brought a car with you.
From this point, the Lamborghini driver tries to explain that he has all the appropriate documentation and is following all the correct laws on his journey through the US. Meanwhile, the officer insists he knows the laws, telling the driver: ‘I’m pretty sure I know what I’m talking about right now.’
What ensues is the driver pointing out the police officer absolutely does not know what he’s talking about and it makes absolute gold quality for Lambo driver’s YouTube, racking up more than 20,000 views at the time of writing.
But, it’s at the very end of the video that was the icing on the top of cake of the whole interaction, when the officer decides to drop the whole thing because he has another call to attend to. Convenient.
Just brilliant.
