@BroomePol/TwitterPolice in a remote area of Australia have chipped in on the Great UFO Debate with their video ‘evidence’ which suggests, as they put it, ‘we are not alone’.
The local authorities in far north-west Broome have released some CCTV footage after noticing an initially inexplicable appearance of a bright white light in a flying saucer shape.
Police shared the video on Twitter, sending their theory out into the ether:

The CCTV was captured at Town Beach during an epic-looking storm. As if the natural wonders of the world’s weather wasn’t enough, the police couldn’t resist a bit of UFO extrapolation.
Police captioned the video saying:
After reviewing CCTV at town beach of last night’s storm, it appears we are not alone.
In case you missed it because your head is grounded firmly on terra firma, in the top left hand corner of the screen, an oval-shaped light appears and bobs about a bit in the frame, before the extra-terrestrials aboard presumably remembered they had some important probing to do and flew off to another star in the galaxy…
Or maybe the car whose headlights caused the glare on the lens just reversed out of shot. But who am I to judge the unwavering beliefs of people when presented with evidence to the contrary?
The headlights interpretation certainly didn’t stop UFOlogists conjuring up theories about the light’ source on Twitter.
One mused the light might be an ‘area 51 replica vehicle or an intergalatic vehicle’, before adding the footage is ‘insane’.
Area 51, in case you didn’t know, is a highly classified remote detachment of Edwards Air Force Base, within the Nevada Test and Training Range, which most likely is the site of black projects but is shrouded in secrecy and conspiracy.

Meanwhile, one person was more impressed with the amazing weather event, added we’re lucky the CCTV camera was well-placed to capture it all go down.

The High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program (HAARP) was initiated to research the ionosphere, and is jointly funded by the US Air Force, the Navy, the University of Alaska Fairbanks, and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency.
Much like Area 51, the research and those who conduct it have become the subject of much conspiracy.
