@tyrese/InstagramPolice rushed to Tyrese Gibson’s home on Monday morning after he uploaded a video showing a barely-clothed man tied up while he ate ramen.
The bizarre clip was posted at 3am and appears to show a male held in a hostage type situation.
The man is comedian Michael Blackson. He infamously mocked another video uploaded by Tyrese, where he broke down about his custody battle for his daughter.
LAPD were alerted to the scene only to learn Blackson was in on the ‘joke’, and that he wasn’t legitimately bound up, TMZ reports.
Tyrese now has 50/50 custody of his daughter Shayla.
He wrote in an Instagram post:
Today is not a win for me, it is a win for our daughter, Shayla. Who unfortunately has been exposed to tension, private and public embarrassment and growing up and feeling torn between 2 parents who are no longer married……
It is a win because she gets to spend equal time with both of her parents in joint legal custody while she continues to grow in a happy and healthy environment – this has always been and will continue to be my priority.
I hope all of the fathers feel encouraged by this cause if was the real ‘Fathers’ out there who reached out and kept me encouraged along the way and for that I can’t thank you enough… – For 10 years I have been the best father I could be, all while quietly being on the receiving end of constant toxic false accusations by the mother of my child.
And of course all the while being thrusted into unexpected social media storms all while trying to fight for my career and stay afloat financially.
Last month, the actor went viral after he posted an emotional plea calling for help to save his ‘baby’.
Tyrese had been fighting to see his daughter, Shayla, who he hadn’t seen in two months due to his ex-wife Norma placing a restraining order against the actor.
In the harrowing video, Gibson revealed his rich friends weren’t coming to his aid so he can bond with his own child.

They’re not able to tell the difference between the good ones and the bad ones, between the criminals and the men of God.
The Muslims, the Jews, the Christians, the men that wake up every day…to focus on one thing.
Tyrese is then seen breaking down in tears.
Attempting to compose himself, he says:
Please don’t take my baby, OK?
Tyrese recently claimed he wouldn’t star in Fast and Furious 9 if Dwayne Johnson did.
Writing on his Instagram, he said:
Hello world, hello loyal fans and loved ones from OUR fast universe.
I’m sorry to announce that if [Dwayne] is in Fast 9, there will be no more Roman [Pearce]. You mess with family and my daughters survival I mess with yours. [sic]
I suppose we’ve all been there. Making a joke that bombs. Just maybe not to this extent…
