Celebs, for all the fame, fortune and freebies they get a lot of flack – we can’t help falling over our front-page friends whether they’re getting together or breaking up, but one piece of muck-raking has been called out by Ryan Reynolds and it’s obviously quality.
As any self respecting Ryan Reynolds and Blakely Lively fan will know, the pair are pros at taking the piss out of each other online.
Remember the heartfelt message Ryan sent on Blake’s last birthday:
And then Blake’s perfect response on Ryan’s birthday:
Look at those stats as well, Blake’s totally done a number on her Ryan with that other Ryan-based Instagram. Honestly, they’re just too much. They’re the best. I want them.
Well, despite this sign of a well-functioning relationship with healthy levels of humour, OK! magazine has some inside information on the loveable couple and they’re said to be heading towards the door marked ‘Divorce’.
An insider told the magazine:
The past few years, Ryan’s been working out of town while Blake stays home with the kids. The distance between them has taken its toll.
Enter International Business Times, which now seems to be in the ‘business’ of celebrity gossip.
They debunked the rumour through an interview Blake gave PEOPLE in October, where she said:
My husband and I don’t work at the same time, so we all go together as a family. If we’re away as a family, it’s never more than for a day. We stay together.
It’s a rumour that’s been kicking around for a while, Australian mag NW claiming the couple were heading for the rocks because they spent ‘long periods of time apart’.
It turns out that was made up as well, as the IB Times debunked the claim using fact-checking website Gossip Cop.
Now, how do you think IB Times ran the headline for this story on their Twitter, like this, obviously:
Deadpool Ryan Reynolds and wife Blake Lively struggling to spend 'quality time'.#Deadpool2 #RyanReynolds @VancityReynolds https://t.co/UnGV7mWGXL
— IBTimes India (@ibtimes_india) March 31, 2018
I’m just gonna let Reynold’s response speak for itself:
I wish. I could use a little “me time”. https://t.co/S6kXFsWaMe
— Ryan Reynolds (@VancityReynolds) March 31, 2018
He wrote:

What a guy! He is the textbook for how all social media should be conducted and an inspiration to all relationships.
Were IB Times in on all this? Will Ryan Reynolds ever RT one of my articles? So many questions, so little time.
Like remember that time Ryan posted a pic on Insta of his wife and mother of his children looking unrecognisable.
Blake was in Ireland filming The Rhythm Section, in which she looks distinctly unlike her glamorous self we’re all used to seeing.
So naturally, her loving and caring husband Ryan decided to post the picture on social media for everyone to see.
He posted the image of Blake with a simple caption ‘#nofilter’.
*Mic drop*
As was to be expected, the post went viral, with fans guffawing at the couple’s quirky sense of humour.
One person commented: ‘I just want a relationship like this.’ Another tagged Blake with the comment: ‘can’t wait for the comeback!!!’
Did you see the little Blake Liveley dig in the trailer for the upcoming Deadpool 2? It’s a blink and you’ll miss it.
Right at the end of the trailer, Deadpool himself says:
Doing the right thing is messy, but if you wanna fight for what’s right, sometimes you have to fight dirty.
And that’s why Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants is pure pornography.
Never change, Reynolds and Lively, you magnificent pair.
Deadpool 2 is in UK cinemas May 16 and US theatres May 18
