It turns out Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner has a secret Instagram account and fans are loving the weird and bizarre pictures she’s posting on it.
The 22-year-old, who’s famous for playing Sansa Stark on the hit HBO show, is known for her quirky sense of humour and funny Instagram posts, but nobody was expecting just how weird she was going to go with her latest social media venture.
The actress is busy with the last season of Game of Thrones, and presumably with a handful of other projects as well, but she’s found the time to start an insta page in which she delves into the world of food criticism.
Her foodie kryptonite? Sausages. Yes, that’s right, one of today’s most in-demand actresses is busy spending her precious time reviewing and rating the best sausages she comes across in her travels – and it’s kind of amazing.
The account only sports six photos, but at the time of writing she has nearly 23k followers, and her fans are absolutely loving her epicurean adventures.
Her first post racked up over 10,000 likes, with this caption:
#nofilter London, England. A classic Cumberland. Juicy on the bite. Skin not too tough. Around the size of my middle finger: perfect. However I might have liked the skin to be a little crispier. For what it is… Result: 7/10.
After her inaugural post in London, the actress made her way to the land of the angels, and began posting a distinctly different type of sausage, which will look quite alien to us Brits.
Despite the initial differences, Sophie seemed incredibly impressed with the efforts of the chefs on the other side of the pond, giving a solid 8/10 to something which, quite frankly, looks nothing like a sausage to me – but it obviously tastes good.
To be fair to her, she needs to get all the calories she can in preparation for what will undoubtedly be a gruelling shooting schedule for the final season of Game of Thrones.
Production is already underway on the final installation in the story of Westeros, and judging by rumours coming from the set, it’s going to be a big one.
The show’s crew have just wrapped filming on a monumental battle which took 55 consecutive nights to shoot, which gives you an idea of the scale of the thing.
Assistant director Jonathan Quinlan, who’s worked on 20 episodes of the popular show so far, shared a photo on Instagram of a thank you card sent out to cast and crew following the wrap on the scene which we think is, maybe, the battle of Winterfell?
Although he deleted the photo soon after posting it, eagle-eyed fans were quick to take a screenshot.
It read:
This is for the Night Dragons. For enduring 55 straight nights. For enduring the cold, the snow, the rain, the mud, the sheep sh*t of Toome and the winds of Magheramorne.
When tens of millions of people around the world watch this episode a year from now, they won’t know how hard you worked. They won’t care how tired you were or how tough it was to do your job in sub-freezing temperatures.
They’ll just understand that they’re watching something that’s never been done before. And that’s because of you.
What’s even more exciting than this, is the rumour how this might not even be the biggest battle of the season!
Roll on 2019, and let’s have a sausage-eating watching party when it first airs, shall we?
