Tara Reid has sparked health concerns after posing in a bikini while on holiday.
The American Pie actress, 42, displayed her frame by a pool as she smiled for the camera.
She was accompanied by two female friends.
In an Instagram post, she wrote:
Having the best time with my girls in Casa de Campo, Dominican Republic.
However fans are worried over Tara’s weight, telling her she looks skinny. People also slated anybody ‘encouraging’ her by saying she looks good.
One wrote:
U need to eat sum dang food u look sickly skinny.
Another said:
When she was in American Pie she looked healthy and gorg.
A third said:
For some reason people love to see successful people fall from grace and the people slating this girl is proof of this, but at the same time, telling someone who clearly has an issue with food and mental health that they look great when they look unwell is unequally damaging.
This isn’t the first time Reid has been on the receiving end of scrutiny. In the past she has dismissed any hate she had received for her body.
On the subject of bullying, she told The Guardian last year:
Bullying is a subject I can relate to so much. There’s such a big problem with bullying today, and people don’t really look at how bad it is. Bullying doesn’t start with one person. If someone bullies you today it puts you in a bad mood, and you go and talk to your sister and you say something rude to her, and it puts her in a bad mood, and then she snaps at her husband, and her husband slaps their kid. It goes around and around and gets bigger and bigger and more and more people get hurt. And people can’t stop. They are so angry and judgmental that it has changed a lot of things. People are afraid to speak.
She added:
You know, every day when you wake up it’s a new day. You gotta get over it. Tomorrow’s a new day. It’s about living in the present. And I love what’s going on in my life right now. I’m in a good place, and I’m working a lot, and I’m surrounded by good people. For a while I was stuck playing high-school sweethearts, and I couldn’t get out of it. But now I’m playing a woman my own age, a mother, and that has changed so many things.
Beginning her career in programs such as Saved by the Bell: The New Class and soap opera Days of Our Lives, it was her role in Coen Brothers’ The Big Lebowski (1998) which propelled her profile into the mainstream.
Following that Reid went on to star in Urban Legend (1998), Around the Fire (1998) and Cruel Intentions (1999).
Perhaps her most known role however, was the hugely popular coming-of-age comedy American Pie in 1999.
After a couple of box-office bombs, Reid then appeared on the UK version of Celebrity Big Brother, where she was the third housemate to be evicted. Last year, she starred in Sharknado 5.
