If you thought the trend of celebrities getting into politics was over with Trump in the White House, you may want to think again.

The election has prompted the masses to call for other celebrities like Kanye West to put themselves forward to take over The White House in 2020.

And Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson may be that man.

Johnson, recently revealed to be the highest-paid actor in Hollywood, had previously tweeted that ‘maybe one day’ he would run for office.

Now, asked by Vanity Fair if he would run in the 2020 election, Johnson replied:

I wouldn’t rule it out. It would be a great opportunity to help people, so it’s possible. This past election shows that anything can happen.

Don’t think he has the credentials? Neither did Trump, but the actor is no stranger to politics. He spoke at the 2000 Republican National Convention to encourage young people to vote regardless of party affiliation and has recently commented on social media about the idea of running for public office.

In June, The Rock told GQ:

I’ll be honest, I haven’t ruled politics out. I’m not being coy when I say that, but at the moment I am not sure. I can’t deny that the thought of being governor, the thought of being president, is alluring.

And beyond that, it would be an opportunity to make a real impact on people’s lives on a global scale. But there are a lot of other things I want to do first.

So while he may not have any solid experience as a politician, he does have his country’s best interests at heart, which is refreshing.

And let’s be honest, he wouldn’t make a bad president.

He respects, and is respected by, the military and law enforcement:

He’s successfully managed a hectic schedule for years:

He’s no stranger to hard work, having started from humble beginnings:

He’s a family man:

And between Hollywood and WWE, there’s certainly at least one fan base that would stand behind Johnson.

Was Baba Vanga, the blind Bulgarian mystic who predicted 9/11 and the rise of ISIS, right? Will Obama be the last ‘real’ president? Looks like there will be a string of celebrities taking over the White House from here on out.

The Rock for 2020 president, then?
