A YouTube video has got conspiracy theorists excited after it claims to have evidence that legendary rapper Tupac Shakur is alive and well.
The video, called ‘Tupac is alive new proof 2016’ claims it has the most convincing evidence the rapper – who was gunned down 20 years ago in Los Angeles is in fact, alive, reports the Daily Star.
The video – which has been watched over 1.3 million times – includes a selfie of a guy who – to be fair – does bear an uncanny resemblance to the hip-hop star.
The subtitles say the picture is a ‘selfie’ taken in 2015 on a phone ‘made in 2011’.
For further proof – as if we needed it right? – we’re then played a song by Kasinova Tha Don, who ‘suspiciously sounds exactly like Tupac Shakur’ – which is debatable.
Apparently, Kasinova has repeatedly denied claims that he is Tupac, but according to Hubpages.com he has dropped multiple hints on his Facebook page, including the cryptic comment: ‘2 Souls, One Body’.
The YouTube channel behind the video, Tupac Legacy, does stress it’s ‘not 100 per cent he is alive but I want to share my view’.
And admittedly not everyone is convinced, with one commenter writing:
This isn’t the nineties anymore, show me some real shit, this look like any regular old fool with a nose ring trying to pass himself off as Tupac.
But this isn’t the first Tupac conspiracy, ‘news and entertainment’ website thereportez.com claimed Tupac is alive and has been living in – of all places – Cuba.
The report claimed:
It was Shakur who, in 1996, was reportedly attending a special event in Las Vegas, the Mike Tyson-Benson fight, and then afterwards was brutally murdered.
A day or so later he is autopsied, then quickly cremated. There is no funeral. Nor is there any record of a tribute or memorial.
Now we know exactly why it was because Tupac Shakur was never killed it is unclear why he has been hiding.
And their proof – a photograph of Tupac with Rihanna, who would have been eight at the time of his death.
Is that Elvis in the background…
