We’ve all been there when we’re in a rush, sprinting out of the house and running to the car, only to find it frozen over, complete with icicles on the wing mirror.

Depending what tools you happen to be equipped with, the task can take a while, leaving you with wet sleeves, frozen fingers, and in a foul mood.

Well this weatherman – from Tennessee’s WATE 6 News – has just solved all your problems with a magic solution you can make from some ingredients you’ll have at home.

So if you’re not forward-thinking enough to carry a bottle of de-icer, then listen to the wise words of Ken Weathers for his special solution.

He explains that all you need is some water and rubbing alcohol to take all your icy worries away.

Kenny says:

If you left your car outside it probably looks like this. Some scattered frost on the windshield.

Two ways you usually get rid of this one. 1) you warm up the car for a long period of time, keep the defroster on and that will heat the window up, but that kind of wasted gas didn’t it.

He adds:

The other, good old ice scraper. Takes time but it’ll eventually do it.

Here’s a better way. Simple solution. All you do is spray and the frost is gone. Now, it’s not water. You don’t add hot water to a windshield – it can break it.

But just the simple spray of solution on the windshield will make that de-icing a lot quicker.

So there it is…2/3 parts Isopropyl/Rubbing alcohol and 1/3 parts water mixed together in a spray bottle. Kenny’s special liquid gets rid of that ice like magic.

Here’s a few alternatives to getting frost off your windshield: don’t buy a car, buy a motorbike, smash your windshield with a hammer, write a hot take for UNILAD which renders the frost into water, say to the frost ‘If you know what’s good for you, you’ll get lost right now buddy’, keep laughing to yourself over and over until the frost goes ‘What’s so funny?’ so you can go ‘Oh nothing haha’ and the frost says, ‘No come on what is it?’ and you say ‘If you melt, I’ll tell you’. Simple stuff really.
