With beach season right around the corner, now’s the time when our nation’s body anxiety goes through the roof.
Target and Barbie are trying to combat that with a very cool, very positive campaign on social media.
The #NoFOMO Campaign, which sees women proudly sharing images of their body on social media, is aiming to prove that it takes nothing other than putting on a swimsuit in order to get a swimsuit body, The Daily Mail reports.
And the campaign is all the ‘beach body’ confidence you need.
Using the hashtag #NoFOMO – no fear of missing out – the movement is fighting back against the suggestion that a woman might feel she has to miss out on wearing a swimsuit because of the way she feels about her body.

And the hashtag has gone viral, with many of the women opting to share their personal stories and experiences with body shaming.
Target, who has a long history of promoting diverse body types, said the campaign is ‘all about shaking off body insecurities and not letting anything get in the way of having fun’.
The company, which also earned praise for its ‘Super Hero Girls’ collection last week, teamed up with Mattel just in time for their new line of Barbies – which now come in curvy, tall or petite sizes.

Real talk lady friends, let’s talk about swimsuit season. Back in college my prideful heart ached to be the girl with the best body. Enough was never enough.
This body IS ENOUGH. I’ll happily be your average gal on the beach, rocking a two piece without flat abs, toned arms, or long and lean legs.
This a great campaign full of inspiring women that succeed in proving beauty doesn’t have a size.
