Footage has gone viral of a woman falling off a ‘cliff’ as she and her husband hike along a path in Hawaii.

However, the video hasn’t gone viral because it’s dramatic drop, dangerous dive or shocking piece of homemade footage. It’s gone viral because the misleading title of ‘falling off a cliff’ makes it sound more ‘lucky to be alive’ than You’ve Been Framed.

One watch of the video though, and you’ll see it’s definitely the latter.

The video was uploaded by YouTuber Shonduras, who shared the video of his wife Jenny McBride falling off the ‘cliff’.

The video comes with a disclaimer which reads: ‘WARNING: The following may contain elements not suitable for some audiences. Parental and viewer discretion is advised.’

Fully prepared for a bit of graphic footage, because we’re a sadistic bunch, many viewers were somewhat disappointed by the video’s actual content.

Shonduras described the incident as: ‘a life changing experience that has changed our perspective on life, family, and each other. To not let the little things get to us and to really appropriate [sic] the time we have together.’

You can watch it here, the fall off the ‘cliff’ happens around eight minutes in:

Filming the whole incident, the family manage to keep the camera rolling as they run down to check on Jenny. Thankfully she was OK, and – of course – things could’ve been a lot different had she hit her head on a rock, for example.

However, because this is the internet and because Jenny was alright, viewers responded appropriately to the highly exaggerated piece of footage (which described the cliff as 30ft high…).

Thankfully, Jenny was not seriously hurt. Careful on those cliffs everyone, and careful what you post online.
