Friends themed cafe is opening today in one of the UK’s biggest Primarks. Could you BE any more excited?!

As of this morning (June 12), shoppers will be able to take a break from the hustle and bustle by sitting back and relaxing in the Central Perk coffee shop.

Okay, not the actual Central Perk coffee shop, but a definite replica of it in the Manchester Primark store – and it looks incredible.

The cafe has been launched by the retail company in partnership with Warner Bros. to celebrate the hit TV show’s 25th anniversary. No, you didn’t hear that wrong. I did in fact say 25 years.

In other words, we’re all practically ancient and to make you feel even more archaic, let me just throw this little fact out there: Emma Geller Green, Ross and Rachel’s baby girl, would be turning 18 next year. Mind = blown.

The cafe is exclusive to Primark and is apparently the first of its kind to open on the UK high street, complete with the famous orange sofa which will no doubt soon be flooding our Instagram feeds.

Complete with a New York-inspired menu (are those Hershey’s I spy), the cafe will also feature exclusive branded products and the oversized coffee cups that were as much a staple in Friends as Ross’ many marriages were.

Not to fret though, because according to Primark, their coffees will be far more environmentally friendly than the originals. Why, you’re no doubt wondering? Only ethically sourced coffee beans will be used, while compostable cups will be on sale.

A video shared to the store’s Twitter page even gives a cheeky glimpse at Phoebe’s guitar, which made famous such classics as Smelly Cat, Sticky Shoes, and Trapped in the Hospital Closet. Pure genius.

The Friends experience doesn’t end outside the cafe’s walls though, as shoppers will also be able to browse through the Market Street store’s collection of memorabilia.

From t-shirts to canvas tote bags, mugs to pyjamas, all will be available to buy as souvenirs to remember your big day out – if the pictures for the ‘gram weren’t enough, that is.

Primark’s Director of New Business Development, Tim Kelly said:

We are hugely excited to be bringing the first branded Central Perk Café in fashion retail in the UK to the British high street.

Customers can relax and have fun there whilst also enjoying our amazing fashion at amazing prices in our Manchester store.

Well what’re you waiting for? Why aren’t you there already?!

I think the real question though, is whether or not you’ll be sharing your food.
