A woman has undergone six hours of surgery to look like Meghan Markle because she wants ‘what she has that I don’t’.
A hugely successful acting career, a prince, and a newborn baby? Nope, she just wants Meghan’s looks – so much so that she was prepared to go under the knife to get them.
Tanya Ricardo, 30, recently enlisted the help of a plastic surgeon so she could achieve her (not so) lifelong dream of looking like the Duchess of Sussex.
Tanya, a divorced mum who works in the oil industry, contacted Houston-based cosmetic surgeon Dr. Franklin Rose to help her transform into her favourite celebrity.
The 30-year-old explained her reasoning behind the surgery to Inside Edition:
She’s graceful, a very, very graceful woman. I want what she has that I don’t.
She has these great curves, what I want is to achieve the same thing through here and get rid of this so that I have a great, flat stomach.
Tanya believes there are more than a few areas she needs to improve before she can truly channel the Duchess of Sussex.
Namely: her face, her chin, her breasts, her stomach, her hips, her lower back (I’m sorry, what?!) and her bum. So, not a lot then?
Overall, the 30-year-old has had eight procedures: cheek countering and filler, liposuction under her chin, breast implants, liposuction on her belly, hips and lower back, and a Brazilian butt lift.
I’ll be honest with you, I still don’t understand why anyone would want to have surgery to make themselves look like anyone other than the person they already are, but there you go.
Tanya’s boyfriend, Michael Duncan, gave her a kiss and wished her luck before she was wheeled into surgery; she came out six hours later with her face covered in bandages.
The mother doesn’t care that other people might think she’s ‘crazy’ for putting her body through such a thing, because she’s happy doing so.
She explained:
They say I’m very crazy for doing this, but I don’t care.
I wonder if Meghan will see Tanya’s transformation and if she does, what she will think. I doubt it though, seeing as though she’s been just a tad bit busy giving birth.
Early on Monday morning (May 6), the royal family announced Meghan had gone into labour with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex welcoming a baby boy shortly afterwards.
The couple then announced their newborn son’s name as Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, with Meghan describing him as ‘the dream’.
Congratulations to the happy couple!
