It looks like Snapchat is set to become REALLY annoying – particularly if you follow a s**t load of celebrities.
The popular app is set to make a change which will allow a user to add links to websites in their pic’s.
Cue the likes of Kylie Jenner promoting even more crap like ‘slimming tea’s’, and ‘teeth whitening kits’…yawn!
While it may be fun to link out to the particular restaurant you’re eating in, or a particular bar you’re out at, it’s no doubt going to turn your stories into a feed full of shitty adverts.
Selfie-obsessed social media addicts have been begging Instagram for this feature but its social media rival has pipped them to the post.
The news comes after it was revealed that the Instagram feature ‘Stories’ was being used by 250 million people a day – which beats the 166 million people who use Snapchat overall.
If you’re following any of the TOWIE or MIC lot, then I suggest you prepare yourself for the tidal wave of selfies that will be about to hit!
The feature will be simple to use – to add the URL, when you take a picture, you simply select the paperclip icon that appears on the right-hand side.
As much as this may seem really f**ing annoying, the new update has caused less controversy than its previous feature.
According to The Sun, the messenger’s ‘Snap Map’ has been slammed by parents and schools who fear it could be used to abduct children.
It shows exactly where users are and whether they are alone or with people on a cartoon-style Google-esque map.
Police have advised users to review their settings and to opt out over mugging fears.
Enjoy the new feature just don’t get duped into buying a load of s**t you don’t need or won’t work!
